Day 28

Oh holiday glee!  Things have started to ramp up :)  Photo one is showing us how we get downstairs.  Put up your hand if you have a dry, functioning basement!  (insert hand held high, right here)  That space in the first photo is where the landing from the kitchen will come down to the basement.  On that landing is also the entrance to the garage.  Two steps up from that you will be in the kitchen!  Photos two and three show the basement from opposite angles.  The windows will be in shortly...we can't have everything :(  Remember the giant dirt pile out in the back?  I am standing on it to take the last two photos.  You can see the original clapboard on the house (still in good shape, but needs paint) and some of the original boards prior to having clapboard.  The windows are all boarded up on this east side and windows will go on the south and north sides to compensate for the loss.  The kitchen sub floor is still tarped, but not for long :)  You have a better perspective of how high the dirt pile is when you see the basement walkout ........... way down below....... i'm thinking ski lift!
