Day 13

In a very gloomy week, there was a ray of sunshine!  The house lifters have come 2 whole days early!! (yeah)  Day one, they placed the beams under the house, and day two they lifted away.  By lifting away, I don't mean that it was a quick process.  In fact the house is so heavy in one corner, they needed to bring in a second Jacking system so they didn't blow out the motor of the first one. Now that it is sitting on "sticks", that statement is kind of troublesome...

You  can see all the way from the front of the house through to the back from underneath.  (Stay tuned for pictures of the undercarriage)  The third picture you can see how high it has been raised as the worker (not Dr. Brian in the forefront!!) is standing upright in the basement.  No one has ever been able to do that in this house for the 100+ it has been there...very exciting.

i think I will go over now and stand under it myself :)
