Day 14

Good news!!  I couldn't go and stand under it, because they already started the excavating :)  Be still my heart!  Picture one has the "gatekeeper" (I think they call it that because it can fit through gates) pulling down all the rubble walls.  Picture two shows the skid steer hauling shovels full of basement away!  What a great team they make.  I don't think I will be getting in the front door any time soon.  Even if I could, now that the main support beam (see the heavily rotted timber in the last photo?) is no longer supported by the rubble wall, I'm not sure the floors could take it....:(
