Day 77

Feed to succeed! Lunch time is important for anyone, but if you are helping with the renovation, you will be fed :) It was a great weekend weather wise and we managed to get the structure of the front porch up! It is really starting to represent our vision of where the design for this house is going. The house really relates to it's surroundings now when you drive up to it. It looks anchored. Of course, it could use steps. Soon. The roofline will be "shed" like the addition, but you can see from photos two and three, the structural and decorative beams. They will continue to be exposed when the shed roof is on, to create a more lofty porch area. The right side of the porch (at the front door) will actually be a "glassed in" vestibule. It will look amazing and create a fab entranceway at the same time! Stay tuned for that structure going up :) I feel we are entering the time when the name of our little baby must change. Chateau Crappo suited you so well before, but now................... I see you more as Chateau Charming............ a little sunshine behind a less angry cloud :)
