Day 190

This has been a great journey!  Renovating an older home from top to bottom has been a huge and wonderful life experience, and one I recommend whole heartedly :)  It's not like we haven't done this before, but never to this extent.  Are we tired?  Do we spend too much time working and not enough downtime? Who knows?  We did spend most of the weekend working exclusively for the house, and not enough time on our social activities :(  Okay so maybe that doesn't usually happen.  However, some of us were just a bit militant about working on it on a Monday night.  (I am not a fan of the Monday) We have been trimming up the doors and windows outside and find it easier to build the "trim box" in one piece and then install it already painted (you should see them they look great!).  Sometimes you just need to take a night off.  Can you see the first three pictures of the door trim?  What's different from photo one to photo three?  Exactly!  If you build it in the basement, you better make sure you are not encasing a structural post........................fortunately my daughter got a picture of the culprit............... Monday nights off, it is :)
