On a happy note the weekend brought the tiling to a finish! Just a little sealing and the shower in this bathroom will be up and running :) (yes the faucet will be on as well). On a slightly less happy note, before we can continue with the living room, we have to address the final upstairs bathroom :( The plumbing for this space needs to be installed before we can finish the ceiling in the living room. It is also not a simple job because the original footprint of this bathroom is being modified. Some of the space will be used for a closet for the small bedroom (which currently does not have one, but that is typical for the age of the house) and the rest of the space will be enlarged and steal some of the space from the adjoining bedroom. This bathroom will end up being an ensuite to the largest bedroom! Yeah! It will probably become the master suite again :) So it looks like it will take the deconstruction of three spaces to get that living room up and running for the holidays :( ........................oy

ReplyDeleteIt is always important to have a great contractor on hand........but we did the tiling ourselves. If you can do some of the things on the list by yourself you will save a lot of money! And yes the second washroom needs a little help! Just stay tuned for the amazing results when we are finished :)
