Day 6

What kitchen couldn't do with a little updating?  Three layers of wall surface (wallpaper, linoleum, particle board) to make it down to the lathe and plaster!  Two layers of ceiling, to make it to the joists!!  I would have been charging rent for the squirrel motel above the kitchen ceiling had I realized they were there.  Oh, and a storage fee for the ten pounds of walnut casings.  But I digress.  All materials have been removed and I would say the two rooms that occupy this space totalled about 5 trailer loads for us (I think we are up to about 10 now).  That is a lot of material for this old house to hold up!!  We can finally see the light (literally) and tomorrow I will show you just how much :)
