Day 138
This is the transition from what was once the back exterior wall of the original portion of the house. If you remember (see older posts) the old addition went through approximately this space. A little to the left. Unfortunately, they just cut a "hole" and went through. DO NOT do that! You need a header to support the (very heavy!!!) wall. They had a door frame :( The good news is that it is now fixed and we need to marry the two spaces effectively :) There is a slight discrepancy with the levels, 3/4 of an inch to be exact. Not bad and an easy fix. We will simply have the front of the transition threshold slope to accommodate the difference! When the two worlds can finally meet smoothly............................ it's a beautiful thing :)

ReplyDeleteah well, stuff happens when you build, reno etc. Have a glass o red, and all is good :) Besides you have such divine taste, reg peeps will never know.....
