And then the sun was shining! Will I be in a hurry to refinish a floor ever again? No. Does it exceed our expectations? Yes! It would have been a waste of this wonderful patina to cover this floor with paint. Even though it was a laborious task it is finally done :) Three layers of paint and four other materials (carpet, linoleum, more carpet, etc.) covered these boards over the years. I love the original wood. I am sure glad we were able to keep it. We used a product called Fabulon instead of regular varnish because it dries in an hour! Amazing product if you are tired of the waiting process. A long and tiring weekend has resulted in something very nice.......... don't you agree :)
